Fast Growth 50 FLS lands three Awards

Freight Logistics Solutions (FLS) Pontypool has landed an unprecedented clutch of accolades at this year’s prestigious Wales Fast Growth 50 Awards, FLS were confirmed as the Fastest Growing Company in the Cardiff Capital Region, also won the award for Fastest Growing Company in The Welsh Valleys, and awarded Fastest Growing B2B Services Company, finishing 2nd overall Nationally.

The Cardiff Capital Region has traditionally had the major share of the fastest-growing indigenous firms in Wales and the region accounts for 70% of the Wales Fast Growth 50, 2020 – an influential list of the fifty fastest-growing firms. The region, which covers the 10 local authorities of South East Wales, has 35 firms on this year’s list with a combined turnover of £391m, a rise of £248.6m over the 2017-19 period. They have also created 986 new jobs.

Prof Jones-Evans, who runs the awards and is also an assistant pro-vice-chancellor at the University of South Wales, said: “As the economy battles to emerge from recession, it is clear that we need more than ever to celebrate the creativity, innovation and sheer determination of the best of Welsh businesses, something that was clearly emphasised by those many firms that, despite the lockdown we suffered earlier this year, wanted to be considered for the Wales Fast Growth 50.
