Numbers Grow by the dozen at FLS

It’s been a busy few months at Pontypool’s award winning Freight Logistics Solutions, after its equity investment from Development Banc Wales in September 2021, the management team focused on making sure they have been investing this injection wisely, and as with any service based company that means enhancing team numbers to support strategic growth.

Ieuan Rosser CEO said ‘We have been really busy over the past 4 months, Business has grown well, despite rising costs, the national driver shortage and huge supply chain issues FLS really came into its own with more and more customers turning to FLS’ huge carrier resource, buying power, and flexible quick response solutions team to successfully resolve often very difficult transport and customs situations.   We were super happy about again being listed in the Wales Fast Growth 50 for the 3rd time, winning a continuous growth award, coupled with our new partners Development Banc Wales coming into the business it was the support and confidence we needed to push forward with our growth plans into 2022 and that of course means the acquisition of experienced and talented people.’

FLS most senior appointment was Chairman Wayne Harvey, Chair of Cardiff Airport, and a former partner at Ernst & Young and senior partner at Deloitte, Wayne will focus on the strategic development of FLS, supporting and developing the senior management team.

To support the commercial growth of the business, Zainab Latif has been engaged as Legal & Commercial Manager, Accounting & Law graduate from Macquarie University in Sydney, Zainab started her career as a commercial lawyer with DibbsBarker before moving to the UK. After four years practice with Capital Law LLP, as a Solicitor building up a specialisation in commercial contracts, corporate governance & franchising she has spent the past 10 years growing outsourced labour specialist Smart Solutions.

To support the development of expansion across the UK, FLS have engaged two new additions to its front-line sales team, Erin Barry looking after the South and Rebecca Camm, Client Solutions Manager based in Warrington taking care of the Northwest.

Joining the operations team have been four new account managers Emily Perkins who joins the international team in our Silverstone office managing our clients’ shipments in and out of Europe. Chloe Peace joins us with Bethan Spargo who comes to us from Cyber Store Global and Martine Richards from the Chamber of commerce, all 4 joining UK Road team.

New additions to the business support team are business systems manager Taylor Morris from leading automotive supply chain manufacturer Tenneco who will be evolving the FLS Client Portal for volume-based customers. Also Lewis Green from the Chamber of Commerce joins us enhancing our customs offering covering import, export and transit requirements supporting a scaled supply chain.

From recruitment and automotive sector Elizabeth Kavec joins the multidrop team as in-house recruiter to develop our express van associate fleet and Richard Watkins from DHL bolsters the UK Planning team looking after the fulfilment from A-B Vans to Mega Artics.
