FLS is very pleased to introduce transport planner Richard Watkins joining operations in the UK Road team.
Born in Merthyr Tydfil and now living in Rhymney with his new wife and two daughters. After training as a teacher at Pontypridd University he started a 7-year career with Butlins as a Red Coat and entertainer specialising in PC Plod and Big Ears (he doesn’t still have the costumes sorry) Eventually the party ended and Rich started working for ASDA distributing in Royal Portbury Dock as a loader and instructor. After 6 years Rich was poached by Amazon where he spent 2 years as Assistant Operations Manager before joining DHL in Gloucester where he has worked as transport planner and shift manager for over 6 years.
Rich has formally played rugby for Rhymney, a keen golfer, loves Bond movies, walking his boxer dog, baking, Pepsi and supports Liverpool!
