Far from relaxing this weekend, Loui O’Brien and Euan Parfitt, FLS Transport planners and their buddies Ollie Perium, Wade, Joe and Brad have decided to support the incredible work that is being carried out by “MIND Cymru” during these unprecedented times.
They will be cycling 1500km (932.06 miles) between the 6 of them, this means that each will cycle 51.78 miles a day for 3 consecutive days.

This particular charity “MIND Cymru” supports men and women across the country that are suffering from various mental health issues.
MIND Cymru provides advice and support to anyone who is experiencing and suffering from mental health problems and does some fantastic work right across Wales.
As many people know, mental health battles are one of the toughest things that anyone can experience.
Euan Parfitt said “We all played football and rugby together before lock-down but took up cycling as a way of keeping fit and keeping in touch. The course we’ve chosen is varied so we are not all riding together and can maintain a good social distancing”
Loui Obrien added “We’ve been training every day for two weeks and set out initial target as £500, we’ve already smashed that at £750 so we are working towards £1000 target, fingers crossed”
Ollie the organiser said ‘Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience and struggle with mental health. Due to the current pandemic, people’s mental health has been heavily tested, (to say the least) and for many people, it may feel that they are the only ones out there feeling like this, however, MIND Cymru works hard to be there for these people, to help them get back on the road to recovery.
‘Mental health is something that is very close to our hearts, as like so many people, at some point in our lives we have all individually struggled to get over the problems it brings…’
The lads will be taking on this challenge over the May bank holiday weekend, which is Saturday 23rd May – Monday 25th May.
